The news of Lawrence Bishnoy assassinating Sidhu Moose Wala was doing rounds a couple of months back. This incident created a rage not only in India but globally! Lawrence Bishnoy, who is an Indian gangster, has two dozen criminal cases against him. Born on 12 February 1993, Lawrence Bishnoi has a huge gang affiliated with more than 700 shooters across India.
Why is Salman Khan getting threats from Lawrence Bishnoy?
After the barbaric assassination of Sidhu Moose Wala, Lawrence Bishnoy now has Salman Khan on his radar. The feud started after Lawrence abruptly started firing shots outside Gippy Grewal’s Vancouver house! Gippy Grewal confirmed he has no close ties with the Bollywood Superstar, Salman Khan. Gippy also said that he met the actor only twice due to work commitments! Soon after that, in March 2023, the security around Salman Khan’s house was beefed up after his assistant received an email from Bishnoy. This led to an effect, and immediately after that, a case was registered against the gangster and his fellow mate, Goldy Brar.
After a thorough and detailed investigation, police were able to throw light on this situation. Lawrence Bishnoy said in an interview that Salman Khan had humiliated his community by killing a blackbuck. After digging a little deeper into the case, it turned out that the Bollywood Superstar had killed Blackbucks in Rajasthan during the shoot of Hum Saath Saath Hain, a film released in 1999. This heinous act hurt the sentiments of the Bishnoy community, and they filed a complaint against Salman and his co-stars, Neelam, Tabu, Sonali Bendre, and Saif Ali Khan, for killing the animals.
Why is Lawrence Bishnoy so powerful?
Bishnoy and his gang have a widespread network of criminals nationwide. According to reports, Lawrence spread his entire network of gangsters based out of Punjab, Rajasthan, and Haryana. What makes him powerful is that during his time in Jail, he built alliances with criminals behind bars. The gangster even claimed that Salman Khan would have to face severe consequences if he didn’t offer an apology to the Bishnoy community over the killing of the black buck. The Bishnoy community believes that blackbucks are the reincarnation of Bhagwan Jambeshwar, their spiritual leader.
Despite all these speculations, ND Negi, an SP from Bathinda Jail, denied any knowledge of the TV program being recorded in Jail. The SP also further confirmed that the gangster was behind bars in high-security Bathinda Central Jail. The gangster expressed his anger at the Bollywood Superstar for not apologizing to the Bishnoy community even after a case was registered against him earlier. Further venting out his anger and spewing hate on the actor, Bishnoy says that he has bitterness in his mind for the actor since childhood and that he will most certainly break his ego sooner or later. The gangster also expressed his wish for Salman Khan to come to the deity’s temple and apologize for his horrendous and cruel act.
What was done after the actor received a threat from Lawrence Bishnoy?
After receiving the letter from the gangster, the actor was provided a Y+ security cover by the government of Maharashtra. A Y+ security comprises the stationing of five armed guards who will always be present at the person’s home. Apart from the armed guards, six personal security officers will be deployed in three shifts around the clock. Mumbai Police also went out of its way to issue a firearm license to Salman Khan for self-protection.
The actor also confirmed following all the rules and regulations for his safety. Breaking his silence on the ongoing developments, he added that whatever is destined to happen will end up happening and that this does not deter him from roaming freely!
