The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPBPB) has released a notification for 60,244 vacancies in the constable posts under the Uttar Pradesh Police Department. The online application process will begin on December 27, 2023, and the last date to apply is January 16, 2024. The selection process will include a written exam, document verification, PST, and PET.

Eligible candidates can apply through the official website of UPPBPB by clicking on the “UP Police Vacancy 2024” https://uppbpb.gov.in/. The application fee is ₹100 for general candidates and ₹0 for SC/ST candidates. The age limit for males is 18-22 years, and for females, it is 18-25 years.
The Up police recruitment 2023 will be conducted in multiple stages:
1. Written Exam: The written exam is scheduled for February 11, 2024.
2. Document Verification: Candidates will need to submit their documents, photograph, and signature.
3. PST (Physical Standard Test): This test will assess candidates’ physical fitness.
4. PET (Physical Efficiency Test): This test will evaluate candidates’ agility and endurance.
1). Written Exam
- Type of Exam: Objective
- Papers: Four different papers.
- Total Questions: 150 questions.
- Marking: Each question carries +2 marks.
- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks
- Subjects and Marks Distribution:
- General Science: 38 questions (76 marks)
- General Hindi: 37 questions (74 marks)
- Numerical & Mental Ability Test: 38 questions (76 marks)
- Mental Aptitude Test or Intelligence Quotient Test or Reasoning: 37 questions (74 marks)
2). Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
- Male: 4.8 km run in 25 minutes.
- Female: 2.4 km run in 14 minutes.
3). Physical Measurement Test (PMT):
- Male (UR/OBC/SC/ST):
- Minimum Height: 168 cm
- Chest Measurement:
- Without expansion: 79 cm
- With expansion: 84 cm
- Female (UR/OBC/SC/ST):
- Minimum Height: 152 cm
- Minimum Weight: 40 kg
